Zebra is ... Unique. I can honestly say I have never been to a club quite like it. It started with the question, "are we calling it night?" The universal shrug from the group meant we wanted to grab one drink somewhere before we said it was too late to do so on a Sunday. One gal said there was a house club in Hallandale(we were already at Gulfstream). It sounded like a dubious option, but when she said it was called Zebra we had to see what we were in store for. There were some people sitting outside at tables, but we wanted to see what was inside. Especially as there was a pink glow coming from the interior. Inside scored a 10 for originally. Well that is to say, a 10 for campy 80's vibe. The giant mirrors trimmed in zebra fur, overwhelming number of strobe lights on the dance floor. The massive canted couches that angled back in a peculiar way were from out of Scarface set as well. But I liked all of it. What someone else might have seen as Kitsch, I see the Kitsch as cool. The place wasn't too full as it was a Sunday, but the characters in a couple of the booths seemed out of a dangerous but fun flick of the me generation. they had big hats, lots of bottles, and had a Russian vibe that is part of the charm of Hallandale The service was great, our server was there for whatever we needed, and was cheerful for a Sunday night shift. the drinks were solid as well. That includes a random dirty martini that was ordered. the large pitted green olives inside only added to the ambiance that added to the appeal. Freestyle music and zebra pillows, I recommend stopping in for a taste of different. The non stop strobe lights that reminded me of a cheap liquor store were rough on the eyes after 20 minutes so I had to take a star off just for that

I have no idea what to make of this bar/lounge. I have never seen decore like this in my life outside of a Russian nightclub in Paris and a few spots in NYC. It must be seen to be believed; the kitsch is magnificent and the drinks are good. I kept having the feeling some huge thug with tatoos was going to sit next to me with his lady for the night, but alas, no such luck. The servers are very friendly and if nothing else the Zebra must be seen to be believed. If the pink fru fru and strobe lights are too much you can sit outside and watch the parking lot in the Hallandale Beach strip mall.

Lame. Came here a few weeks ago-- ordered a lemon drop - it was awful. The glass was messy and the drink wasn't good. Then my friends tried to meet me here but they were in shorts and let me tell you that was a fiasco. They are two girls and very classy. They got to the door and when they were carded the security guard turned to the owner and she "shook her head no" and turned them away. The bar had a grand total of like 7 people there and the snooty owner turned them away because they were wearing shorts? It's a BAR. How rude. Plus their drinks aren't even good! Not a fan. Wouldn't ever bother coming back here.

LOVE LOVE the decor here, it is to die for. The drinks are good, there is a very chill yet fun atmosphere. I went on a Tuesday and still enjoyed myself just wish the music was a little better

This is a small very well decorated Russian club. I've only been there twice but plan to go at a prime time. Not sure if it'll be Friday night or Saturday night. The first time was last Friday, June 26 somewhat late and there was a good crowd. Great music, I must give credit to the DJ. Bartenders were great service. A lot of people talk about Russian places lacking a bit on customer service but I've experience great service. If you want a different more intimate experience, I recommend this place.

Me and my girl friend are from San Francisco, we were planning had a nice lunch before heading to FLL. I made the reservation through open table on Monday lunch time. We took taxi all the way from Miami beach to Zebra. However, the restaurant is closed without any notification. I did not have a chance to try to food. so No any comments for this restaurant.

Looks cold, not good for hang out, could be more positive. Food is way too pricy, i would understand if the location would be Miami Beach. A lot missed.

Love this place! Upon my arrival we were greeted with Bellini's. It's not often to receive such excellent service within the restaurant industry. Alfonso was amazing and extremely attentive! I definitely will be back!

First time here and we had a very good impression of the place. Our evening started with walking into an absolutely gorgeously decorated place: white comfortable couches, zebra theme, lighting all was beatifull yet homie at the same time. You can see that no money was spared on design. Service was super friendly. Our server was excellent, though she said it was her second day. She was attentive, smiley, prompt, always keeping her eye on our table. We started with top shelf martinies, and whatit means here is special crafted martinies. I ordered first mango, andit was delicious, super strong. Then I switch to something not as sweet, with lemony flavor, which was also excellent. My friend had techila drink which was also amazing. For dinner we had 4 small plates: greek salad, tuna tartar, shrimp and platter with cheese. All 4 were very original and absolutely delicious. Tuna tartar had a very unussual taste that I never had before, was very fresh with cucumber salad. Platter with cheese was huge. It had some really gourmet cheeses which was shocking for me to see the price for it only $8. For me it's the perfect combination of appetizers that are portioned reasonably but also priced accordingly. Be carefull of their drinks: they are very strong, though this fact is hidden with the freshness of fresh squised juices. I made a mistake of having 3 of those, lol. Then the music started. It was a blend of "oldies" from 80s and 90s, and latest hits. Lots of dancing, people were deffinitely warming up by the end of the night. Our total bill was under a 100$, with 6 martinies, and plenty of yammi food. This place is new, iwish them good luck and keep doing a good job. We will definitely be frequent visitors here.

I don't really understand the other review...the place is cool - the food is amazing, great service. The design is casual and comfortable, dj and dancing on the weekends. We enjoyed the food, the music and gogo dancers. Try it.

Went there for a celebration with some friends and I can say I left highly disappointed for the most part. The place itself looks very modern and chic, but the service was a slow and disorganized experience from start to finish. It took me almost 25 minutes to get my first cocktail. I had to ask the waiter repeatedly about our drinks and he apologized looking around to room to show us how busy it was. There were only three tables sat at the time with no one outside and he was only taking care of ours as I noticed he did not have any other tables at the time. When we put in some orders for food he immediately stressed the fact that it might be awhile since they were busy. My guests and I pointed out that they were not, and I figured that was his way of covering himself since no one from the kitchen to the server seemed to be on the same page. It took an average of about 30 minutes to get a drink to the table from the bar for each round. We were there to celebrate a special occasion, and could have easily drank a lot more rounds if the service was not so slow. At one point, I went to the bar to order drinks directly, and happened to run into our waiter and he said he would bring them right away. I should have known better. It took another 20 minutes to get them to us when I could have easily got it right then and there. I watched as he aimlessly walked around and circled our table on many occasions empty handed. Our food came out staggered, appetizers were never brought out, some peoples dinners came out as appetizers, and some food never came out period. We finally had to flag down the owner/manager Vladimir, who I recognize from his post by his picture, he gave it 5 stars by the way, and he apologized but it still took forever even with his intervention. The food we had was good for the most part, tuna rolls, filet mignon carpaccio, the best dish was a stuffed duck and cheese quesadilla type dish. Some of the other things we ordered we were told they were out of, 45 minutes after we ordered them, because they were "busy". We made the most of our evening because of the great company we had, and the place actually started to fill up. I was told that was the biggest crowd they have had since their opening, and I'm glad we were done by then because I could only imagine how long we would have waited. Our server was very friendly, but it was obvious he was very inexperienced. This place needs to train their staff a lot better or hire experienced personnel. The ambiance with the gogo dancers and sweet white leather sofas was super sweet. But if you have a nice place, you need to back it up with solid service. No excuses. I might give a shot again, but I will probably stick to the bar or the outside area. We hit the hookah at the outside area to have one last drink, ended up having a few more because the man who took care of us outside, Eddie, was 1 2 3 with the drinks without the 30 minute wait and anticipated our needs. Wish we could have had him inside.

By far the worst service you have ever encountered!!!! The place is dead and the waitress act as if they are busy and ignore you... Had to wait about 45 mins for someone to actually to come to us and that's after we called one of the owners... I spend money and so weird to see they actually don't want any of it.. Lol... Have to call upon management to get a drink ... What a joke!!!

Going out for a night of fun to a restaurant/club located in a Winn-Dixie shopping plaza on Hallandale Beach Blvd is never my idea of fun. Man was I wrong! Very elegant decor and a bit overwhelming as you first make your way through the venue doors. It's a transformation of all things classy & beautiful, black and white patterns, hence the name Zebra! The couches are soft, white leather and extremely comfortable enough for eating and lounging around. Not to mention, the unmistakable sound of house music playing in the background puts me in the right mood. Together it creates an environment of pure relaxation, carefree and enjoyment. Came here for my girl's company party over the holidays on a Saturday night around 9:30pm and boy was it dead. Our group of approximately 23 people were the only souls here except for a couple of patrons sitting at the cool zebra patterned bar with disco balls hanging from the ceiling. As the second round of drinks were flowing through our pearly black and white zebra printed tables, right before our eyes so were the patrons! Zebra Lounge started filling up rather quickly as if the party bus had just dropped them off. This place was pumping and so was the dance floor. Let's just say my @$$ was on that dance floor right quick and for the rest of the night. I was dancing on the go-go girls' platforms when they weren't dancing! Ha! All my dance moves were slowly creeping out of me. I felt like a 20 year old all over again. I might have pulled a muscle but it was all so worth it! The DJ kept the vibe highly energetic! Before the madness, I must mention there was an array of small plates that kept our tummies more than satisfied. Here are some I do remember: Bruschetta - Freshly chopped vine ripe plum tomatoes, red onions and garlic tossed with fresh basil and capers drizzled with olive oil and red wine vinegar served with toasted crostini. Light and delicious! Crispy Bang Bang Shrimp - Crispy flash fried shrimp tossed in a Thai chili sauce, sprinkled with black and white sesame seeds, topped with julienne-cut wontons. Very tender and flavorful! Potato Dumplings and Caramelized Onions - Homemade potato dumplings made with cheddar cheese served on a smudge of sour cream topped with caramelized onions and fresh chives. So yummy and good for my tummy! Baked Macaroni and Cheese Trio Au Gratin - It's a blend of Gouda, Havarti and Munster cheeses simmered in a light cream sauce, along with a hint of bacon, topped with cracker crumbs then baked until it's a beautiful golden brown. You might regret ordering this if you're counting calories! I have a sweet passionate love affair with Mac N' Cheese and the Chef at Zebra Lounge truly knows his Mac N' Cheese! ;D The boss man ordered a total of 3 bottles of top shelf liquors: Vodka, Rum and Cognac. So you can just imagine the endless flow of drinks, one after another. Things were getting colorful and daring as it turned out. It was a night of complete and total diversion. Highly enjoyable! Service from the beginning was fantastic! Very friendly and accommodating. Our server had her helper at all times which made for a much smoother service. The only policy I didn't get is why we couldn't pour our own drinks having purchased 3 bottles of liquor and a cart full of mixers and ice buckets right next to our table. VIP service taken to the next level? Perhaps but seriously...why? We had to wait around and ask for more drinks or simply wait for her to come by to adjust our drinks, etc. I found it silly. Kind of annoying but I can see how it adds a nice touch to the whole experience. Note: Bathrooms are just as gorgeous and very clean! Go-go dancers perform every 20mins or so. Tons of free parking on the huge plaza. Outside seating for smokers. Enjoy some hookah as well! This is not an environment for kids. I read somewhere that it's great for kids. No, it's NOT! Leave your kids at home please. I hate having to watch my language around kids when it's clearly passed their bedtime. True story!
